In 2022, the commodity trading company I worked for fell under U.S. sanctions after Russia invaded Ukraine. I was a credit trader. I had a petroleum engineering background. I saw an opportunity. I took my technical and credit analytical skills, my writing, and my experience in operational oil and gas fields. I founded CounterPoint.
